Ground floor- Sitting room, family kitchen/ dining, twin bedroom, with en-suite. Shower room. Porch. Utility room.

A bright entrance porch provides extra storage for sports and outdoor equipment. The downstairs living areas are linked by a hall from which a feature staircase leads to the second floor.

The living room is large and tastefully decorated with inviting comfy chairs and beautiful traditional furniture. A large window allows views of the wooded garden, river and hills beyond. There is a television with video and DVD players and Sky sports package. The telephone is in the living room guest are asked to use the honesty box beside the phone to reimburse cost of calls.

Off the main hallway is a utility room with hand basin, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The real hub of the Schoolhouse is the large family kitchen with its oil fired Rayburn spreading warmth throughout the house. For those unfamiliar with the Rayburn style of cooking there is a conventional electric oven and a microwave. The large oak farmhouse table is ideal for guests to congregate around. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and fridge and freezer. Leading off the kitchen is a very bright airy porch with additional storage space and access to the garden/ car parking.

Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom with en-suite with a sit bath. As with the rest of the house the décor is homely and attractive reflecting the taste of its owners.

All of the rooms including the downstairs cloakroom with shower are spotless, light and attractive. The Schoolhouse does have a key operated alarm system which guest are free to use if they wish.

The Birch and Oak garden is delightfully informal with spring bulbs and wild flora thriving beneath majestic trees and Rhododendrons. The front garden is dominated by an ancient fairy knoll the top of which provides a great vantage point to survey the wonderful surrounding countryside.

There is ample parking and a secure shed for bikes and other outdoor equipment.
